In February SAR members headed to Gran Canaria for a week in sunnier climes.
The walking proved suitably challenging and the week was greatly enjoyed by all.
Seventeen walkers met on a chilly January day to walk from Leavesden Country Park. Icy weather meant that mud from recent rainy weather was largely frozen, so stepping carefully we were not too muddy at the end of the walk.

In September 2023, SAR members visited the Austrian Tirol. The weather was perfect and we all enjoyed some challenging walks in beautiful mountain country
Led by Giles, SAR members walked the Length of the Ver Valley, from source to where it meets the River Colne. Giles imparted information on each stage about the history and about the River itself.
